Economic Development Incentives
What are the Economic Developemt Incentives for the City of Pittsfield?
The City Council has created two Tax Increment Financing Districts. Funds created from the Districts will be used to assist developers with infrastructure needs. Funds will also be used to update City owned infrastructure. Developer applications are available at City Hall. In 2018 the City of Pittsfield was named as an Opportunity Zone. The Opportunity Zone program is designed to encourage long-term investment and job creation in low income census tracts. The City also has a Facade Revolving Loan Program, which is available to business owners to repair the exterior of their buildings.
