📣 Your Voice Matters, Pittsfield! 🗣️
The City of Pittsfield and Picture Pittsfield are teaming up to launch a Community Voice Survey — and we need YOU!
We want to hear from every corner of our community. How do you feel about life in Pittsfield? What do you want to see improved? What opportunities should we focus on? This is your chance to speak honestly, and anonymously, about what really matters.
This isn’t just for city leaders — your feedback will directly guide Picture Pittsfield’s future projects and priorities, too. 🛠️🎨🏞️
👉 The survey has 69 questions and takes just a few minutes to complete. We know that’s more than your average survey — but that’s because your insight is incredibly valuable and we want to get the full picture.
📢 Please take a moment to share this post and help us spread the word. The more voices we hear, the better our town can grow — together.

📢 Spring Low-Pulse Electrofishing Catfish Survey Results Are In! 🎣
Below is the report from the Spring Low-Pulse Electrofishing Catfish Survey conducted by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
A huge thank you to IDNR and Blake Ruebush for their continued dedication and for taking such great care of the fish population at our beautiful City Lake. 🐟💙
We’re grateful for the partnership that helps us keep our lake thriving and enjoyable for everyone!
IDNR Fisheries completed the Spring Low-Pulse Electrofishing Catfish Survey on Pittsfield Lake on 5/13/2025. 40 Flathead Catfish ranging from 6.2-42.4” were sampled. The top 5 Flathead Catfish weighed in at 47lbs, 42lbs, 26lbs, 26lbs, and 19lbs. All fish were measured, weighed, tagged, and released. If you catch a tagged fish, please report the tag by calling the phone number on the tag. Harvesting or releasing a tagged fish is your choice. Pittsfield Lake has a two pole and line only restriction, meaning only two poles allowed per angler. Bank poles, trot lines, and jug fishing are not allowed on Pittsfield Lake.

📢 Important Update on Pittsfield's Electric Program
The following is an update about our aggregate based on information given from Good Energy LP.
The City of Pittsfield has renewed its electric aggregation program with Homefield Energy. This program helps protect residents from big changes in electric rates by offering a fixed rate of $0.1194 per kWh from June 2025 to May 2026.
Here’s what you need to know:
✅ The rate is locked in for one year and won’t change.
⚠️ Ameren’s rates are expected to go up starting June 1, 2025, due to higher energy demand and power plant closures.
🔒 This program helps you avoid surprise rate hikes.
📬 You have probably received or will receive a letter in the next few days with the option to opt out of the program if you choose.
If you do not want to use Homefield Energy as a supplier, you have to opt out, even if you have opted out in the past.
To stay in the program: Do nothing – you’ll be enrolled automatically.
To opt out: Return the form, call 833-200-9834, or go to homefieldenergy.com/optout.
💡 You can leave the program anytime with no fees.
For questions, call Good Energy at 844-686-4244.
Please don’t call city offices – they can’t make changes for you.
Tip: Consider waiting until Ameren posts its new rates on June 1, 2025, before deciding.
